As Mayor Rybak describes himself, he’s the first “post-Napster” mayor. We sit down with this wired mayor to hear about why Minneapolis is poised to be a great leader in the digital marketplace as well as how the Internet has changed political discourse and leadership. Shot by threevolts

I am a fan of Mayor Rybak and in this interview he confirms that the admiration is well deserved. He gets the importance of being transparent and authentic as an elected official. He is right on to see social media — and the Internet in general — as an opportunity for citizens to be partners with government.
It is also because he understands key roles of technology in our culture, that I trust him to use his leadership position to market Minneapolis’ vast interactive programming, marketing and design resources.
Oh, and I like the lightrail train bell in the background.
Thanks Andrew

Very inspiring video! It’s so good to see our leaders engage with new media and understand the future of communication.
Aside, how come I can’t share this video? Embedding it on my Facebook would have been very cool and helpful to you, too?

You know, Kat, that’s a good point! Huh. I thought we had that covered. We’ll get on it because we’d love to have you share it!
